This year we will gather on Friday evening for introductions and sharing some resources.

On Saturday, Erin Tarr from Fierce Girls will join us to talk about Being Your Best Self.     This will be a chance for some reflection on how who and what we want to be, not only as parents of disabled children, but also as our own selves!   Erin will help us develeop personal goals and future plans and self -advocacy which we can take home to our kids and work with them on their personal goals and future plans.

Continuing on the self advocacy theme, Rose Slaught from StarNET will lead us in a resource discussion.    Moms can share resources that have helped them along their journey - whether it's for self care as the parent or whether it's for advocacy, medical, educational or job support for your child, we want to hear your favorite resources,

We will spend the afternoon with Michelle Roberts - a CU Occupational Therapist who also teaches at Parkland.  Michelle will lead us in some mindfulness exercises through a Nia Yoga session.  This is a chance for moms to rejuvenate and also learn some new methods to help children regulate in their general daytime routine.

Saturday night we will enjoy some social activities including movies, bingo and, of course, moms retreat crafts!

Sunday morning we will have an opportunity for an early morning walk through campus, a hearty Sunday Breakfast and a white elephant exchange before we say good bye.
